How to Reset the Service Light on a Volvo V70

Model: Volvo V70 MK 3 - Years 2007-2016

This procedure shows how to reset the maintenance light on a Volvo V70, P2 and P3 generation, covering all vehicles produced between 2000 and 2016. Start with the engine completely off, then locate the "trip" button on the dashboard; this is the button used to cycle through the onboard computer information and is situated near the speedometer. While holding it down, insert the key into the ignition and turn it on without starting the engine. Continue to hold it down, and after 10 to 15 seconds, the service light will start to flash. Immediately release the "trip" button and remove the key; upon restarting, the light will be off.
