Changing the engine oil and oil filter on the Alfa Romeo 159 is a straightforward task that you can perform independently. Start by opening the bonnet and raising the car with a jack and axle stands. Remove the left wheel by taking off the bolts and then the wheel itself. Now, you can take off the oil sump located underneath the vehicle. Once the plug is removed, position a container to drain the old oil. When the oil has finished flowing, proceed to remove the oil filter as shown in the video. After removing the filter, fit the new one and reassemble everything. Once the job is complete, close the bonnet.
