How to replace the starter motor in the BMW 3 Series?

In this tutorial we can see how to replace the starter motor in the BMW 3 Series, a simple operation that requires good manual dexterity. First of all, make sure that the key is not inserted and that the engine is completely cold, then open the trunk and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery. Next, open the hood and remove the plastic cover, the filter box, the fuel duct, and finally the exhaust manifold. At this point, we can disconnect the terminals of the starter motor, unscrew the respective fixing bolts, install the replacement and reassemble everything.
