Where is the starter motor located in the BMW 3 Series?

In this video we can see where the starter motor is located in the BMW 3 Series and how to proceed in case we need to replace it, a very simple operation. As shown, the starter motor is located in the rear left area of the engine, to our right when looking at the vehicle from the front. Before disassembling it, make sure the key is not inserted, then open the hood and disconnect the battery terminals. Next, remove both the air filter box and the plastic cover, disconnect the power poles of the starter motor and unscrew the respective mounting bolts. To install the replacement, simply follow the reverse procedure.
