How to replace the steering wheel of the BMW 3 Series E46 version

In this video we can see how to replace the standard steering wheel of a BMW 3 Series E46 version with a three-spoke sporty model. First of all (after disconnecting the negative pole of the battery) we put the steering wheel in a vertical position so that we can access the two holes that allow us to remove the airbag, disconnect the plugs and then unscrew the steering wheel with a 16 socket; pay attention to the centering notch that will be used to reposition the new steering wheel; we do not give you an indication for the purchase of the steering wheel, because it is a very personal taste; generally, steering wheels are supplied without airbags, so it is easier to mount them compared to the video, because you just need to align the centering notch and then position the airbag with the method we used to remove it, that is with the torx key positioned in the two side holes of the steering wheel.
