Resetting the service indicator light on the BMW X5 E53.

The activation of the "Oil Service Inspection" light on the bottom bar of the dashboard reminds us to replace the engine oil of the BMW X5. After changing the oil, we reset the notification system. We sit in the driver's seat, press and hold the button between the speedometer and the fuel level indicator, turn the ignition key to position one. When the word "Reset" appears on the bar, we release the button and press it again. We wait a few seconds and when the word "Reset" starts flashing, we release the button and then press it briefly to complete the reset.
