How do you reset the service light on a 2011 BMW X1?

Routine maintenance is done at regular intervals or based on mileage, which means that the engine control unit, following the manufacturer's guidelines, will light up the wrench symbol to indicate that a certain number of years have passed or a certain number of kilometers have been traveled since the last service, so maintenance is required. Once the work is completed, we reset the alert: we turn on the instrument panel, press and hold the button below the odometer to access Settings, scroll through the available options with the directional buttons, select Service and press the BC button on the left side of the steering wheel lever to reset.
