Where to Find the Cabin Air Filter on the BMW X6

The cabin air filter on the BMW X6 is located in a standard position for many BMW models, but access may vary depending on the production year. For the first generation (E71), it is found in the engine compartment, on the passenger side (right side for left-hand drive), under the windshield, covered by a large plastic grille cover. Access it from the hood; look towards the back of the engine compartment, near the ventilation grille under the windshield. You will find a plastic cover secured with clips; unlock them and lift the cover. Underneath is the filter. For the BMW X6 F16 (2nd generation) and G06 (3rd generation), refer to the video: it is located under the dashboard, passenger side, inside the HVAC housing. On the left side of the glove compartment, there is a side panel, under which you will find a plastic cover secured by screws. This is the housing cover. Remove the filter and clean the container: be careful as some versions may have two filters side by side, and both need to be replaced.
