On the first generation BMW X3, the fuse boxes are located both in the cabin and under the hood. The main cabin fuse box is positioned under the dashboard on the driver's side, near the pedals and the armrest.

To access it, remove the snap-in plastic panel by pulling it towards you. Here you will find the fuses that protect the interior lights, air conditioning, audio system, and other electrical devices. In the engine compartment, the fuse box is located near the battery, protected by a plastic cover.

In some versions, there is a second maxi fuse group at the front of the engine compartment, which protects the headlights, engine control unit, and main systems.
