How to change the engine oil and filter of a BMW 3 Series? It's a simple operation by following the video; let's see how to proceed. Lift the car on a column lift, unscrew the oil pan bolt with a wrench (after removing the plastic protective panel), let the fluid drain into a disposal container, and re-tighten the oil pan bolt. After removing the oil from the engine, lower the car to the ground and lift the hood; secure it. Remove the filter located inside the engine compartment and refill the engine with the new oil.
