How do you change the engine oil on a BMW 3 Series? It's a simple operation if you follow the right steps. Let's see how to proceed: lift the car on a column lift or jack, after removing the plastic panel cap under the engine, loosen the oil pan bolt with a socket wrench, allow the fluid to drain into a disposal container, and then reinstall the oil pan bolt. Lower the car to the ground and lift the hood, securing it. Remove the oil filter (located in the engine compartment). Finally, install the new oil filter and refill with new oil. Measure the oil level multiple times with the metal dipstick until you reach the ideal measurement.
