Remove the Starter Motor on BMW 3 Series

Is the starter motor on your BMW 3 Series damaged? Here’s how to remove it. Open the hood and secure it. Remove the plastic cover under the windshield to access the engine. Disconnect the starter motor power terminals using pliers. Remove the soundproofing panel and the exhaust manifold. Use a socket wrench to unscrew the starter motor mounting bolts and remove it from the engine compartment. Install the new starter motor, connecting the power wires and securing them with the appropriate screws. Reinstall all protective plastic covers.
