How to Change the Engine Oil in a BMW 3 Series

Model: BMW Serie 3 E91, E90, E92 - Years 2005-2013

Before starting, open the hood of your BMW 3 Series. First, remove the bolt that serves as the upper oil cap. Next, shift into first gear and engage the parking brake, then lift the front of the car. Proceed to remove the lower cover of the oil pan by unscrewing the fastening bolts. This will expose the lower oil drain plug. At this point, unscrew and remove this plug, then wait for all the oil to drain out. Once the oil has completely drained, reinstall the drain plug and lower the car. After completing this step, add new oil, then screw back on the upper fill cap, and the oil change will be complete.
