Removing the Outside Rearview Mirror

Model: BMW Serie 3 E46 - Years 1998-2006

To remove the outside rearview mirror, first remove the door trim panel (see reference guide). Once the panel is removed, pull out the clips along the front edge of the door that secure the plastic trim, which also includes the cover with the grille located right at the mirror; unscrew the mounting pin of the tweeter (which actually also secures the mirror) and the lower pin to complete the mirror removal, disconnecting the connector for the adjustment controls.
