To replace the crankshaft pulley on a BMW 3 Series, open the hood to access the components at the front of the engine block. For easier access, it may be necessary to completely remove the radiator from its housing. This will allow you to loosen the central bolt that secures the crankshaft pulley and completely remove the pulley. Once removed, you can install a new one, securing it with its bolt and reinstalling all removed parts.
