This is what you need to reset the service light on the BMW 3 Series E46. Also, keep an eye on the display on the dashboard. Let's get started. Insert the key, press and hold the button mentioned earlier, and turn on the ignition. Continue to hold the button even as the screens on the display change, and release it only when you see the word "reset" flashing. Press it again, but without holding it down, and then turn off the ignition.
