Performing the service light reset on a BMW 1 Series, model F20, produced from 2011 to 2019, is a very simple and quick operation. In this short tutorial, you will learn how to do this using only the button on the left side of the speedometer. Start by turning on the vehicle's instrument cluster without starting the engine, then press and hold the left button on the speedometer until the reset menu appears on the information display. After that, press and hold the button again on the engine oil option, then, when prompted to reset, release the button and hold it down once more until the reset is complete.
