How to Replace the Door Lock on a BMW 3 Series?

To replace the door lock on a BMW 3 Series, remove the trim around the inner handle to access the screws underneath. Next, disconnect the power window switch, then completely remove the inner door panel. After removing the panel, you can unscrew the bolts securing the lock actuator from the inside of the door, allowing it to be pulled out from the outside. At this point, install the new lock, secure it, and then reinstall the door panel.
