Fuel Pump Replacement

Model: BMW Serie 3 E46 - Years 1998-2006

First, remove the rear seat. Underneath, you will find a plastic cover that needs to be removed. At this point, there is a circular black plastic cover secured with four bolts that you must unscrew using the appropriate wrench. Once the cover is removed, disconnect the electrical supply to the fuel pump, disconnect the rubber fuel line to the engine, and unscrew the pump cap. Use a screwdriver to unlock the ring that secures the pump, and finally, pull the pump out of its position. To install the new pump, repeat the same steps in reverse order. The maintenance operation shown in the images is performed on a BMW 3 Series.
