How to Replace the Dashboard of the BMW 3 Series Coupe

Model: BMW Serie 3 E36 - Years 1990-2001
Part: Dashboard

Replacing the dashboard requires careful attention and meticulousness since many components must be removed before accessing the dashboard cover, and the risk of damaging something is quite high. Start by removing the glove compartment, then proceed to the center console where you will remove the radio and climate control buttons. Next, remove the driver's airbag to take off the steering wheel and the turn signal controls. Continue by removing the instrument cluster and the steering column. At this point, you can remove the various screws securing the dashboard cover to extract it from the cabin. Before reassembling, it is advisable to clean all underlying surfaces and apply foam to prevent vibrations and squeaks.
