How to Change the Oil in a Cadillac XT6?

Change the engine oil with the vehicle raised on a lift or jack stands and with the engine cold. Position yourself under the vehicle with a sufficiently large pan to collect the used oil that drains out when you remove the oil pan bolt. Once it stops draining, reinstall the bolt. In the meantime, also replace the oil filter. Now, move to the front of the vehicle and open the hood, locate the oil filler cap, and pour in the new oil, being careful not to exceed the indicated level.
