How to Reset the Start & Stop System on a Citroen C4

In this video, we see an engine error and the Start & Stop system of the Citroen C4: the car stops, but when you try to restart it, it makes a starting noise and gives an error. The Start & Stop system is very sensitive and automatically deactivates to ensure safety and battery charging. If it doesn't work, first check the battery charge. This is the most common cause of malfunction: the system constantly monitors the battery charge level, and if it is insufficient for a safe restart, it disables the function. This applies to both the main and secondary batteries. However, there are other driving conditions, such as excessive incline, steering wheel too turned, driver's seatbelt not fastened, air conditioning with too high a DeltaT. If, after checking all these conditions, it still doesn't function, we need to use a diagnostic tool to detect the error generated in the ECU.
