How to Replace the Timing Belt on a C4

Replacing the timing belt on a Citroen C4, here’s how to do it. Lift the front bonnet of the car; remove the belt cover. Place the car on a column lift and remove the front wheel and the right wheel arch liner if necessary. Use a spanner to loosen the tensioner pulley and slide the belt off its seat. Use a socket to unscrew the tensioner pulley bolt, then remove the water pump. Fit the new water pump if replaced, the tensioner, and the belt itself, tightening everything with the socket. Refit the wheel arch liner if removed and install the covers in the engine bay of the C4.
