How to Disable the Start & Stop Function on a Fiat Ducato

The start & stop function automatically reactivates every time the engine is started; it cannot be permanently disabled via the onboard controls (without additional electronic interventions). The procedure described shows how to exclude it for the current driving cycle. Turn on the ignition or start the engine. Locate the start & stop button situated on the side of the steering wheel (on the side panel, not on the central dashboard). Press the button. The display will show: Start & stop disabled and the corresponding warning icon will appear. The function will remain deactivated until the engine is turned off.
