Fiat 500 - Video tutorial
Model: Fiat 500
500 L
- Years 2012-2023 To replace the engine oil and the oil filter of the Fiat 500, first of all, we place the car in a position, well immobilized, stable and safe (on a plane or on the bridge) so that we can work on it while protecting the safety of the operator. This precaution should be taken for any maintenance operation to be undertaken on any car. Now, let's open the front hood of the engine compartment and unscrew the cap of the engine oil port. If you want, we can use an exchange fluid that will be used following the instructions in the video images. Now, to get rid of the old oil, let's keep the engine running for about 5 minutes, in order to make it more fluid. We place a container under the bleed hole, under the engine. We unscrew the nut of the hole and let all the oil drain out of the engine. Close the bleed hole again and, once the position of the oil filter has been located, proceed to unscrew it (using the appropriate wrench). We replace the old filter with the new one (it is good to grease the gasket and its attachment). At this point, after having extracted the dipstick to measure its level, all that remains is to pour the new oil into the appropriate mouthpiece in such a quantity as to reach the average level on the dipstick. And that's it!

Frequently Asked QuestionsHandbrake adjustment on Ford EcosportFirst remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base. by ScegliAuto More videos
