Oil and Filter Change on the Fiat 500X

In this video, you can see how to change the oil filter on the Fiat 500X: first, open the bonnet and remove the engine cover, then open the oil filler cap and lift the vehicle. You will need to remove the undertray. At this point, remove the oil drain plug and let the oil flow into a suitable, large container; dispose of the used oil at an appropriate collection centre. While the oil drains, focus on the filter and use a 32mm spanner to remove the cap. Some oil will also come out here, so have another container ready. Remove the O-ring, which will need to be replaced, and lubricate it with clean oil. Insert the new filter and refit the cap. Replace the washer and oil drain plug and screw them back into place. Lower the vehicle and refill with 4.7 litres of engine oil; check the level using the dipstick. Also, replace the air filter by removing the screws and taking off the cover: remove the old filter and fit the new one. Screw the screws back in place. Replace the cabin filter, located in the glove compartment on the left side towards the console. Clean the housing of dirt and debris, then fit the new filter in place. Operations complete.
