How do you replace the oil filter on a 500X? Here’s how to proceed with the replacement: open the car door and pull up the engine compartment release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard, then lift the front bonnet and secure it with the provided prop. Remove the engine soundproofing panel, then use a socket wrench to remove the securing bolt of the container (where the oil filter is located). Extract the worn filter and insert a new one. Refit the new filter in its container and then back in the engine compartment. Close the engine bonnet after maintenance.
