Today's guide will show you useful instructions for dismantling and replacing the timing belt and water pump on the Fiat 500 1.2 petrol. First, raise the vehicle and start by removing the front right wheel and the wheel arch liner; then open the bonnet and begin to dismantle the engine mount, using a socket spanner with an extension to undo the three nuts, as shown in the video. At this point, disconnect the serpentine belt and remove the crankshaft pulley; remove the timing cover to access the timing belt, replacing it with the new one (as well as the original).
