Operation: Replacement of the engine oil and filter of the Fiat Bravo.

Let's see how to proceed to replace the filter and engine oil in a Fiat Bravo. Open the hood of the engine compartment and unscrew the oil filler cap and remove the dipstick. Lift the car and unscrew the screws to remove the engine undertray. With a 10mm socket wrench, unscrew the cover of the passenger side wheel arch, place a collection basin under the engine sump, clean the surfaces around the drain plug and unscrew it to drain the used oil. Unscrew the oil filter cover, remove the old filter element and remove the O-ring. Insert the new filter and the new gasket, on which we will apply a thin layer of oil, screw the filter tight with a torque wrench to 25 Nm. Screw the drain plug back in, replace the wheel arch protection and the engine undertray, lower the car. Using a funnel, pour about 4.6 liters of new oil into the filler neck, start the engine and wait for the oil light to go off, then turn off the engine. Check with the dipstick that the level is between the minimum and maximum marks, and top up if necessary.

How to open the bonnet of the Volkswagen Polo
