In this video, see how to replace the coil, leads, and spark plugs on a Fiat 500: open the bonnet and remove the air filter located above the engine block. Just below, you will find the coil with its leads going to the spark plugs.

Removing the coil is simple; just lever it out. Then, use pliers to remove the clip that secures the leads to the spark plugs. Now comes the tricky part, as removing the spark plugs is complicated (if one falls into the engine, it’s a big problem to retrieve it) and naturally, it’s even more difficult to refit them for the same reason.

Reposition the coil, placing the leads on the new spark plugs, and then refit the air filter. Job done.
