How to reset the Ford battery management system (BMS) without tools in a 2019 Ford Ranger

To reset the Battery Management System (BMS) of your Ford Ranger without external tools, you can follow a procedure using the steering wheel controls. First, make sure the car is in "Ignition" mode but without starting the engine. Then, press and hold the "OK" button on the steering wheel and, at the same time, press the accelerator pedal all the way down. While holding both, wait for about 10-15 seconds. During this process, the BMS system will reset, rebalancing the battery management. Once done, release the pedal and the button, and turn off the car. Turn it back on and check if the reset has taken effect. If you do not feel comfortable doing it yourself, contact an expert.
