How to Replace the Timing Belt on Ford S-Max

Model: Ford S Max MK 1 - Years 2006-2016

Lift the car on a column lift or jack, remove the front wheel and the right wheel arch liner using a screwdriver. Once these operations are complete, use a spanner to loosen the tensioner pulley and slide the belt off its seat. After fitting the new belt, use the spanner to tension the tensioner pulley until the correct tension is achieved on the belt (previously fitted). Finally, check the tensioner and the belt itself, tightening everything with a socket wrench. Refit all removed parts.
