Let's see how to reset the service light on a Ford Mondeo MK4: turn on the instrument panel and press the accelerator and brake pedals all the way down, holding them for about 20/30 seconds. After this time, on the dashboard display, between the speedometer and tachometer, the message "oil reset in progress" should appear; after a few more seconds, the message will change to "oil reset completed". At this point, we can release both pedals. Turn the key and turn off the ignition. Wait a moment and then start the engine. The oil change warning message should no longer be displayed.
