How to Remove the Alternator on a Ford Focus

Learn how to remove the alternator on a Ford Focus. Pull the lever located on the left at the bottom of the steering wheel and lift the bonnet, securing it; locate the power battery and disconnect the terminals. Unscrew the bolts with a socket wrench, being careful not to damage the wiring harness membranes, and unscrew all the alternator mounting bolts. Once the removal is complete, extract it from the engine bay. Now take the new replacement part and insert it into the appropriate housing, screw in the mounting bolts, then tighten the side bolts of the alternator. Check the correct voltage with a tester by connecting it to the battery.
