The "L" on the gear selector of the Ford Kuga PHEV (and hybrids) stands for "Lock" and is referred to as the engine braking gear or enhanced engine braking mode. Engaging it virtually locks the automatic gearbox into a lower gear.

This provides greater resistance when going downhill, helping to slow the car without constantly using the brake pedal. It effectively simulates what is known as "engine braking" in a conventional vehicle.

Additionally, the energy recovery during braking is set to the maximum level, recharging the high-power battery. It is the ideal mode for tackling long downhill stretches, as it converts gravitational energy into electrical energy.

How to Remove the Rear Seat of a Hyundai Tucson?

To remove the rear seat of a Hyundai Tucson, follow these steps. Start by moving the front seats to their most forward position to gain space. Next, locate the release lever on the underside of the rear seat, near the floor. Press this lever down while pulling the seat upwards to unlock it from the anchor pins.
