How to Remove the Alternator from a Ford Ka

Learn how to remove the alternator from a Ford Ka. Pull the lever located at the bottom left of the steering wheel and lift the bonnet (secure it). Locate the battery and disconnect the terminals. Use a socket spanner to remove the bolts, taking care not to damage the wiring harness; unscrew all the mounting bolts of the alternator. Once disassembled, extract it from the engine bay. Take the new replacement alternator and insert it into the appropriate housing, tighten the mounting bolts, then tighten the side bolts of the alternator. Check the correct voltage with a tester by connecting it to the battery.
