Let's see how to reset the service message on the Ford Mondeo MK4: first, insert the key into the ignition (or press the start button once), then press the brake and accelerator pedals simultaneously (both fully down). Keep both pedals pressed while turning the key to the AUX position (second click, without starting the engine).

If you have the start button, press it a second time, continue holding the pedals until the display shows the message "service oil reset"; once the confirmation message appears, release the pedals.
