The main reason the system may not function is that the battery has insufficient charge for the system's standards, which can be caused by various factors: frequent short trips, the car being unused for long periods, or many devices consuming power.

To recover energy, the mechanic in the video offers a practical tip: drive with an active electrical load; turn on the headlights or set the climate fan to medium-high speed.

This trick puts the battery under strain and forces the alternator to produce more current, charging it faster. If the problem persists, consider replacing your battery with one specifically designed for start & stop vehicles (EFB or AGM). Other reasons for malfunction include: the engine not reaching operating temperature, active demisting system, ongoing climate control requests, steering turned to the maximum, vehicle on an incline, or unfastened seatbelt.
