How to Change the Engine Oil and Filter on a Ford Transit

To replace the engine oil and filter on a Ford Transit, park the vehicle on a flat surface and safely lift it to access the undercarriage. Position a drain pan under the oil sump and unscrew the filler cap in the engine bay. Then, remove the drain plug located under the sump and allow the used oil to completely drain. Once draining is complete, replace the drain plug, checking the seal. Locate the oil filter, unscrew it with the appropriate tool, and remove it from its housing. Before fitting the new filter, lightly lubricate the seal with clean oil and screw it on until properly tightened. Pour the new oil through the filler neck, check the level with the dipstick, and adjust if necessary. Start the engine for a moment and check for leaks from the filter or drain plug.
