How to Reset the Service Light on a Ford Mondeo MK4

Resetting the service light on a Ford Mondeo MK4 is done via the dashboard display and the controls on the steering wheel. Turn on the instrument cluster (without starting the engine). Use the arrow buttons on the steering wheel to navigate the menu, pressing the "Ok" button to enter. Scroll to "Trip computer" or "Menu", then select "Settings". Enter "Vehicle settings" and look for the "Oil life reset" option. At this point, press and hold the "OK" button for a few seconds. The progress bar on the display will indicate the completion of the reset. The service light will turn off. If the menu varies slightly (depending on the trim), look for "Service" or "Maintenance". The reset is valid for routine service intervals.
