How to change the engine oil and filter in a Ford Kuga

To replace the engine oil and filter in a Ford Kuga, it is advisable to bring the engine to operating temperature, then turn it off and safely lift the vehicle. After removing any undertray protection, unscrew the drain plug from the sump and allow the used oil to completely drain into a suitable container. Next, remove the oil filter with the appropriate tool and install the new one, pre-lubricating the seal with a small amount of clean oil. Once drained, refit the sump plug, preferably with a new seal, and fill the engine with oil of the viscosity and specifications recommended by the manufacturer. Finally, start the engine for a few seconds, check for leaks, and check the oil level with the dipstick, topping up if necessary.
