How to Replace the EGR Valve on a Ford Transit

Model: Ford Transit MK 7 - Years 2006-2014

To replace the EGR valve on a Ford Transit, turn off the engine and wait for it to cool down. Then, open the bonnet and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery. Remove the engine cover and any intake ducts that obstruct access to the EGR valve, located near the intake manifold. Disconnect the electrical connector or valve control, then free the pipes and fittings connected to the EGR unit. Unscrew the bolts securing the valve to the manifold and exhaust gas duct and remove it from its seat. Clean the mating surfaces thoroughly, install a new gasket, and position the new EGR valve. Tighten the fasteners, reconnect the pipes and connectors, and reassemble the components previously removed. Finally, reconnect the battery, start the engine, and check for proper operation.
