How to replace the fuel pump on a Ford Mondeo? Let's see how to dismantle the tank and the pump inside it. First, lift the car, then remove the fuel tank. Use a socket wrench to undo the securing screws of the cover cap (if present) and take it out of its seat. Use a chisel to undo the large securing nut of the fuel pump, disconnect the power connectors and the liquid circulation tubes. Extract the floating fuel pump from inside the tank. Install a new piece inside the tank, then reassemble all the parts under the car's floor.
