To remove the common rail pump from the Ford Mondeo, it is advisable to completely remove the engine block from its bay to gain more working space. Once the engine is removed, locate the common rail pump near the timing chain area: after removing the chain and its sprockets, access to the pump will be possible. It must be freed from its bolts and connectors so that it can be replaced with a new spare part.
