The cylinder head gasket is an element positioned between the cylinders and the head, ensuring that oil and combustion gases do not come into contact with each other. The main cause of its damage is overheating. During disassembly, remember the position of the various parts, remove the spark plugs and their respective leads. Once everything is removed, you can extract the valve cover from the head. Pay particular attention during the tightening phase of the head to the cylinder block. To do this correctly, it is necessary to use a torque wrench to tighten the bolts to the correct torque value.
