To replace the door lock on a Ford Focus, use a tool to pry off the window switch panel and the protective cover around the internal handle. Once these two components are removed, unscrew the screws underneath: this will allow you to detach the door panel and access the door lock from the inside.

Release the lock from its mounting screws and connectors: this way, you can replace the lock with a new one and reattach the panel.
