In this video, we show you what to do when facing a DPF issue and engine faults on a Ford S-Max. First, connect the diagnostic plug to the manifold as seen in the video. Now, turn on the ignition.

A generic engine fault warning will appear on the dashboard. In these cases, acknowledge the warning by pressing the OK button located on the right side of the steering wheel.

Try turning off the engine and wait a few minutes before restarting it. If the problem resolves itself, no further action is necessary. If the issue persists, it will be necessary to take it to a garage for a precise diagnosis.
