Glow Plug Testing for Ford Mondeo

Model: Ford Mondeo / Fusion MK 2 - Years 2000-2007
Part: Glow plugs

If you experience difficulties during cold engine starting, it is likely that one of the glow plugs is not functioning correctly: the glow plug is essentially an electric resistor that, when the ignition is turned on, is powered and therefore heats up to create the best thermodynamic conditions for the combustion of the injected mixture in the combustion chamber; to check if the glow plug lights up correctly, you can power it directly with two cables from the car battery: once removed, connect the negative cable to the nut seat and the positive to the tip where the power cable is connected, in this way the other end will turn red and glow.

How to Remove the Front Shock Absorber on a Peugeot 406

How to remove the front shock absorber on a Peugeot 406? The first step is to lift the bonnet and secure it with the prop rod. Use a socket wrench to unscrew the shock absorber mounting bolts (engine bay), lift the car on a column lift and remove the front wheel. Unscrew the shock absorber mounting bolts at the wheel hub (detach the brake line clips with a screwdriver). Unscrew the bolts on the side, then remove the shock absorber from its housing (place a support under the bar). Compare the old part with the new one and prepare for installation. Fit the new shock absorber to the car, working in reverse order.
