As you approach the mileage for the engine oil and filter replacement on the Ford Escape, a light will illuminate on the dashboard to remind you. After performing the oil change, reset the light on the dashboard. Get in the driver's seat and turn on the ignition, then press the brake and accelerator pedals simultaneously.

A message will appear on the small central display indicating that the reset is in progress. After about ten seconds, a confirmation message will appear.

Release both pedals and turn off the ignition.
