How to Change Engine Oil on the Genesis G80

Model: Genesis G80 MK 2, DH - Years 2016-2020

Follow these steps to change the engine oil and filter on your vehicle. First, open the hood, remove the oil dipstick, and unscrew the filler cap. Then, lift the vehicle and remove the screws securing the soundproofing panels under the engine. Once you locate the oil drain plug, unscrew it, making sure to place a container on the floor to collect the used oil. Wait a few minutes for all the oil to drain out. After that, locate the oil filter and use a socket wrench to unscrew the cap and remove it. Inside the cap, there will be a cartridge that needs to be replaced. Always remember to replace the O-ring gasket as well. Replace the cartridge and screw the filter cap back on, then also re-screw the oil drain plug and return to the top of the engine compartment. Fill the system with new lubricant and close the filler cap. Finally, check the oil level with the dipstick.
